Canon xl1s dv tapes
Hello everyone.
I reciently purchased a Canon XL1S camerea off this site and I am very pleased with the smoothness of the transaction. Since I am new to the canon, can anyone tell what is the best type or brand of DV tape to use? Or does it really matter? Thanks |

Chris, try searching this forum - there are hunreds of questions like this, but the general answer is: choose one brand and stick with it. That's the best solution. Some say Sony's are great, some swear in Fuji...don't know. Personally i am using Fuji's in my XM2 and no problems at all. Good idea is to buy as much tapes as you can can afford, so you will have tapes from same stock.

We have been using the Sony DVM60PR2. They have been great,
never had a problem. Just remember to always pack your tape before using it. Just fyi packing a tape means fast forward to the end and then rewind. We have used over a hundred tapes with 0 failures. |
