8mm tape
Hi.
I searched the forums and couldn't find anything. What is the difference between regular 8mm video tape and the 8mm metal tape? It's the same price. three for $9.00 or so. Does it matter if I am coverting to digital? Also, anyway to improve the sound capture using a Sony Handycam 8XR, CCD-TR517? It can take an external mic, I went to radio shack, the guy there had no clue, and all the mics had jacks that would not fit. Thanks. |

All 8mm video tapes have metal recording layers. Can you describe or name the type of mike input that didn't match mikes at Radio Shack?
