brrr! cold taping and tape

Okay, its extreme, but MTL has been -20c for a week,
with drops to -40c.

I'm getting a lot of dropouts - now, before you say "Duh!"
does anyone have a tape they particularly like for Cold,
or any info on temperature response over brands?

Its not like we can pour over Kodak tech bulletins for
DV tape these days.

Thanks much in advance,
Tegan viemedia.tv

I have used Sony Premium in about -10C.
If I remember correct, I only got 2-5 (at least very few)frame dropouts during about 40minutes taping.

A few other people I know, have also used the Sony Premium and other types/brands in temperatures below 0C, but as far as I know, they didn't get any problems.
