Mini DV tape in another digital cam...
I shot something on my XL1S and I am wanting to transfer the footage via another mini DV camera. Will there be a loss of image quality?
The reason i'm doing this, is because I can't fork out 1000+ bucks for a mini DV VHR and thought I would go and get an inexpensive mini DV camera to work as the VHR. Any insight? |

Should be OK if you used SP speed, LP speed could pesent a tracking problem during playback.
As long as it is a firewire transfer there should be no image quality loss.

If you really get worried about xferring the tape, just plug the two cams together via firewire?
