Hvr 1500 vs. M10u

About to upgrade from the M10U to the HVR 1500, at least I hope its an upgrade.. One problem we have been having with our M10U decks is when we try to rebatch our master lines in AVID we are loosing frames and over a while of batching everything is out of synch. I have heard that even the time code in HDV is compressed just like the footage. Thinking this might be our problems with rebatching. Do you think we would have the same problem with the new 1500 deck?? just thought I would ask the Serious Pros. THX
