No timecode data
I own a PV-GS400. I am trying to capture video that was shot with an AG-DVX100B into Final Cut Express HD with my camera. My camera is not picking up on the timecode of the tape, and Express needs timecode to capture anything. Is there any way to fix this?
-Tape was NOT shot in LP -Camera is NOT set in LP -Tapes that I have shot work fine -Tape model is AY-DVM63PQ |

Can you use the camera that actually was used to shoot the material?

I have a similar problem - I have recorded a tape (Panasonic AY-DVM60FE, camera Panasonic NV-GS280), but later, when trying to capture it to computer - software shows, that tape is empty. There is only 11 seconds of test video at the beginning of the tape - that should have been overwritten. No, i did not forget to press "record" - timer was counting down.
What could have caused this problem? Bad tape? That day I have recorded 3 other tapes - everything was fine there. |
