JVC GY-HM650E bad video quality?
Hello, everybody! I am new to TV news and working with those kind of cameras, but ive been a photographer for 10 + years and have some experience with videos .
Recently i started working for a local tv news and they gave me JVC GY-HM650E and as far as i know its not cheap video camera, but i do not like the quality at all. The videos are soft and lack details im trying to keep the aperture around f3,8 to f5.6, but still its super soft and looks little bit out of focus. Also when it gets dark its even worse using gain around +15 or sometimes +24 it looks like from a very old camera. I have a sony a7 iii camera and i did few videos with it and the difference is huuuuuge. I know they are very different cameras and cant compare, but still. Is there better camera with fixed aperture, because when i zoom in with this HM650 it gets really dark around f3.5 and usually i shoot at night and dark places . Im looking for a good low light camera with fixed aperture and good low light quality. |

There are better cameras, but the 600 series is not known for soft images and poor quality. +15 gain does bring up the noise, but I wonder if the camera has been dropped, or somebody has tweaked the scene files badly?
