Just Got My HM600

The $500 rebate was too much to pass up. Got my camera from B&H on Monday, and finally had the time to open it up, charge it and test it. First impressions: I like. A lot.

What "sold" me on this camera was the native recording to .QT files that I can drag immediately into FCP 7 without any transcoding.

This camera replaces my Canon XH-A1. I have to say that the image quality is only every so slightly better than the Canon... which is a little disappointing considering the Canon chip was smaller and its technology six years older... but the SD recording media and FCP native formats sold me.

I haven't finished reading the manual yet, but does the HM600 have the ability to load custom shooting profiles like the XH-A1 did? I had a dozen and a half profiles to imitate Kodachrome film, Fuji, old-style B&W, etc...
