HDV out for streaming
Hello, A long long time ago when the HM 700 first came out I remember hooking it up to my laptop and doing a test stream and happy because it worked. Now many years later I was trying to do the same thing and can't remember what exactly I did or find the cable that would make it work. I was wondering if anyone does this now and could help me remember. I will have 2 laptops I will need to make this work with. One a PC wish USB 2.0 and a newer macbook with USB3.0 and thunderbolt. Will the one cable work again or would I need something that can do HDSDI somehow. Thanks

Re: HDV out for streaming
The only way to do HDV streaming is via firewire.
You can also stream via HD-SDI, but you'd need something like the BMD Mini-Recorder to do that. |

Re: HDV out for streaming
You can also use a hardware based encoder and bypass the computer completely.
