Use of SD-Cards in HM700 and HM100
I need the help of experts. I have a HM700 and a HM100, and use SDHC cards in both camcorders. I have my personal settings for scene files (HM100 nad HM700) and picture files (HM700 only) on SDHC card. While the folder structure is similar, the card from HM700 has an additional "PICTURE" folder in the "EXTR" folder.
File names differ, i.e., in the HM100 the scene files are named EXT1 ... EXT4, while the scene files from HM700 are named SCENE1.SN2, SCENE2.SN2, .... As I like to use the SDHC cards in both camcorders, and I also like to have the individual scene files available, I thought I can copy scene-files from both camcorders in the "SCENE" folder and add the HM700 picture files in the extra "PICTURE" folder. Does anyone knows whether there are any problems doing so? Joachim |

The chip configuration is different between the HM700 and the HM100, so you will not be able to transfer the scene files between the two models.

Re: Use of SD-Cards in HM700 and HM100
Craig,
it was not my intention to transfer the settings from HM700 to HM 100 or vice versa. I want to use my SDHC cards in both camcorders, and the cards should have both settings stored on the same SDHC card. If this is possible without conflicts, I would have my individual setting available and need not take care of seperating my stock of SDHC cards into those for the HM 700 and those for the HM 100.
