Quad HD samples available from JVC U.K.
I should have posted this information on a new thread. But, I posted it on a dormant thread. Sorry.
You can get a short sample -- 4 files -- from JVC: JVC Professional Europe - GY-HMQ10E 4K2K HD Camcorder - JVC Professional catalogue : product details I imported into FCP into 4 tracks and used the motion filter to move into place in a 3240x2160 ProRes 422 sequence. For details of how to this, see my post at the end of the "other" GY-HM thread. Attached is a screenshot of the Timeline. Because I already expected a problem with QuadHD in FCP X, I put a circle wipe in my sample. The problem is that FCP X does not have a QuadHD PRESET. So I used the 4096x2160 PRESET. This leads to "issues" I'm working on. You can see a QuadHD sample I uploaded to YouTube. To do this, I exported QuadHD H.264/AVC at 144Mbps from FCP X. (That took a bit of work because this SHOULD require AVC Profile 5.2 which isn't available.) 2160p29.97 @ 144Mbps encoded by X264 from FCP X - YouTube Yes -- you can upload 4K, but you can only view at 1080p.

Re: Quad HD samples available from JVC U.K.
Thanks to Petter for this tip:
Use clicktoflash.com plugin for Safari to block Flash. Then hover over video to see a list of H.264 movie sizes and choose 4K.
