"Clip Zipper" -- Instead of splicing tape re-joining the MOV logo back together...use a Zipper

"UnSplit" -- A video file Restore Program for .MOV files that have been split due to file size limits.

I don't have any of these cameras, or a Mac, but this thread caught my eye; I can't resist a chance to come up with a cute name for something.

How about "FAT Cat"? Everyone's heard the word "concatenate" before, but I just checked to be sure and it turns out that plain old "catenate" is a real word, and means the same thing, "to link together; form into a connected series".

WOW. So many great suggestions. It's made it difficult to make a shortlist and I wouldn't feel right about randomly choosing so I've selected my "Top 10" (plus my original "HM Joiner" name) and added an anonymous poll that expires in a couple of days. I'd love to get the opinion of the forum. You are allowed to select multiple names and vote for yourself.

Thanks again for all these great suggestions.

It looks like "ClipStick" is the crowd favourite and Jim Boda is the lucky winner of some training DVDs! (Will contact you about that Jim.) I've been looking into trademarks in the U.S. and there are some similar names for completely different products but I'm going to move forward with it and see if I can secure the trademark. If not possible I'm still very happy with the alternatives.

We're launching Stereo3D Toolbox™ v2.0 first and then ClipStick™ will follow.

It has actually been working since late last year but 100% of my time since then has been spent working on 3D-related projects.

And Jim... you don't have an email listed with dvinfo but I would like to contact you for your prize!

Just pinging this thread... assembling a multiclip of a 45-minute 2-camera interview and recalled how useful ClipStick might be in this situation. :-)
