HM700 Builds? at DVinfo.net

I've been reading that the first HM700's to be delivered cannot take recent firmware upgrades. How can you tell if the camera is an old or new build? Can you tell by the serial number? Thanks.

by production date - the first one between March and June.

the other HM700 after the end of June get no problem to get the A-Version of
the firmware, but on the others maybe changed some boards.

Thanks....is the production date printed right on the camera somewhere?

normally you can see it on the transport-box where JVC deliver the cams.
