You probably can't ...
... but I have to ask :-)
Having upgraded from a Canon XL2 to the HM700 I came to think of Canon's 3X Super Wide-Angle Zoom Lens XL. Any chance that it can be used with the GM700? - Does anyone have a clue if the mounting hardware for the lenses are different between JVC HM700 and Canon XL1/XL2? If the 3X wide lens could be used, it would be a cheap way to get a wide angle lens for the HM700. I know it isn't a HD lens, but it's a decent piece of glass for the XL - and probably not any crappier than the Fujinon 16X they supply the HM700 with here in Europe. Any ideas to wether it can be done? Peter |

No, it cannot be done. Not only are the lens mounts completely different, but so are the electrical connections between the body and the lens... not to mention the fact that there is no hand grip on any Canon XL lens. Sorry. Hope this helps,
