Are the GY-HM700 "Info" Files needed for transfer to FCP?
I was wondering,
Are the additional "Info" files created by the HM700 needed? I've been just plugging the card into a reader and transferring the mov's directly to one of my Mac HD's. I've been editing in FCP Studio 2 and so far haven't noticed any problem. Is it alright to disregard these files? Steve Nordahl Bethlehem, Pa. |

No
They are just reference files for the card when the info from the camera is written to the card.
You just need the video files thats it. Doug |

Thanks Doug,
I thought that was the case, but I wanted to hear the definitive answer before I go to far along. I really like this camera!!! Coming from the world of straight DV to HD Pro is a bit of a learning curve, but thanks to all of the members here on DVI, I have the best database of info at the stroke of a key. Thanks to you Doug and all the others who lend a helping hand...to all the newb'ys Now if there were an all telling DVD on the 100/700.....??? Tim is it ready yet??? Oh well, I guess you just got to wait for what you want.... Thanks guys (gals) Steve, Bethlehem, Pa |
