Connecting External Monitor - HM700
Need some help here ... sorry I just don't get it.
My goal is to display 1920x1080 (HD) on a 20" - 22" external monitor. Page 110 of the manual shows a section titled "Connecting via SDI" and the camera has a BNC conector. a) Does this one conector carry all the video signals out of the cam? The drawing on page 110 shows a cable with a HD/SD-SDI fitting on one end and a SDI fitting on the other end. b) Where can I find such a cable? I see VGA, HDMI, and DVI connectors on monitora but no SDI ? c) Where can I find a monitor that will accept such a cable? Thanks for your help! Why are you not using HDMI???
Does it have HDMI - I should download the manual and learn a bit more as it is a camera I am also interested in. Last edited by Rick Bolton; May 15th, 2009 at 01:38 PM. |

You can find an SDI monitor the same place you got the camera.
They are not cheap but they worth it. You'll find the SDI cable as well. SDI carry video+ sound+ TC. Good luck, Eugen |

The HM700 includes only HDSDI/SDI, not HDMI. But with an converter from HDSDI to HDMI is way or via Component out to your LCD-TV.
