Initial B&H HM700 Pricing

Not as bad as I thought it would be. I'm actually surprised that SxS is only around $500 more.

HM700 with 14.4x Lens/SXS:

JVC | PROHD COMPACT SxS CAMCORDR w/14x4 LENS | GY-HM700UXT | B&H

HM700 with 14.4x Lens:

JVC | PRO HD COMPACT CAMCORDER w/14x4 LENS | GY-HM700U | B&H

Cheers.

When I check the links the difference is $2000. I would think that they would price it less than the HPX300 which checks in at $8500. $9000 is to high for this camera.

I swear to you it was $7495.00 a few hours ago. For $2k, they can keep the SxS recorder.

With the Aussie dollar down this camera is going to cost more than the EX1. I will be waiting for a price soon in AUD.

Cheers

I also saw it at that lower price. They must have made a mistake.

As far as I know, JVC hasn't even announced the official MSRP of that SxS recorder.

Expect more pricing fluctuation before it eventually settles.

MSRP on the JVC Pro website has been $1795 for a couple of months. That of course doesn't make it TRULY official...

And I just checked again and it now lists "Suggested Retail" at $1000

Yeah, they changed it. I saw it lower, too. Too bad...and I talked with a dealer today who also confirms they don't have any official prices yet.

SxS recorder MSRP at $1000 or less. Still not bad considering it includes an 8 Gb SxS card according to JVC site.

New BH Price

JVC | GY-HM700UXT ProHD Solid-State Camcorder | GY-HM700UXT

Back to $7500.00 with SxS. Cool. Approx. arrival June. Better later then never.

I spoke to a JVC rep yesterday at a local show, and she said that the prices were $7000 w/o the SxS and $7500 with the SxS.

She also said the initial cameras shipped would include the 17x lens, until the Canon lens is available.

Since B&H lowered the JVC price for the HM100, maybe there will be a lowered selling price for the HM700.
