JVC JY-HM95 shoulder-mount Camcorder - only in china?
Hi!
Being a JVC GY-HM70E owner i stumbled across the JVC China website presenting the new JY-HM95 camcorder, which seems like a successor to the HM70 (which was called JY-HM85 in china) JY-HM95 | JVC With a little help of Google Translate, the specs look really interesting, as the camera not only has an AVCHD 'continuos clip mode' that lets the camera record a single file, even after stopping and starting a recording, but also support a new 36 MBit High Quaility 1080p50 MOV-recording option. I have not seen a model for the european or us market, maybe the GY-HM70 didn't sell this well over here. Anyway, i think this is a very interesting camery. |

yes, only in china. I'd like to see those 36Mbps indeed. But I'm fine with the 28Mbps of the HM70 anyway.
in any case the HM70 is still a good shoulder camera, now discontinued in the US. Once you put a beachtek for XLR and mic level on camera to -2 (or -1) then is a complete camera for seriously stable shots with no fatigue. (and you don't look like a zombie with those idiotic frankenrigs that weight a ton and are a pain to carry LOL) Shoulder cameras, as it should be. |
