tablet for the jvc gy-hm100
Hey everyone, I was about to buy a new ipad mini when I realized that there is now memory card slot or hdmi slot. Can anyone recommend a tablet that you can use as a real time monitor and works well with the memory cards we use for this cam?

Matt, I don't think many players exist that can read the codec directly. There's nothing physically stopping it, just that probably the software isn't there yet. But maybe I'm wrong, and there is software out there that works.
The HDMI port is for external viewing, I believe, and not for incoming streams. You could stream off the camera via a Livestream or Teradek system and get your video over wi-fi. It's much simpler to use an external monitor. Hope this helps.

Thanks for advice, the ipad is really not meant for this. Sony has a new laptop/tablet that has some possibilities.
