Auto or Man
Hello all, I bought the shooters Guide DVD and learned a lot but the one thing it doesn't say and I hope I'm right is that when you put the HM100 into "Manual" everything stays in auto unless you choose to switch a particular function to manual. In other words putting it in "manual" only gives you the "option" to shoot manually. Is that correct ?

Manual mode
When you choose manual mode you can have the camcorder do auto iris, shutter speed, and focus if you want. You must control the white balance with a preset of 3200K or 5600K, or by manually setting preset A or B. A weakness with this camcorder IMO is that you cannot simply set a temperature by value (other than 3200K or 5600K). You also must control gain.

I have just checked my camera again and although it has as you say two preset temperatures it still adjusts the WB automatically (FAW Displayed). Also the gain can be set to automatic I have the L position assigned to auto. Sorry to dissagree
