VIEWING IN A PC - Help!

Hi guys,

I currently uise FC pro, but my dad bought the HM100 also as he really liked it, but he uses a PC not a MAC.

i have tried to view the MOV files that he shot but I have had NO SUCCESS with this.
i re installed Quicktime, and no dice.

It says i need an additional plug in to view the files, but I don;t know which one i need.

He uses PINNICLE Studio 14 to edit, and not willing to go maxc just yet.

any help would be much appreicated

Andrew

Have you had any luck.
I had the same problem with the .MOV files I recorded on my HM700. I couldn't open them on a PC. I found the following which opens them as an mpeg2. It doesn't transcode the image, just the audio, so there is no loss of image quality.

Programme - www.mik-digital.de

down load the third one down MP4toMPG V3. It works well.

Wo! This is great!!!! Thanks for this! Since getting the camera, I've been struggling with .mov and mp4. At home, I'm on a Mac but the office is on Edius and this has been a cause of some stress. But this now solves the problem! Thanks again for the link!

:-)
