New to the Gy-hm100u in FCP Studio
Hey guys I'm sorry if this is posted on here somewhere...
I am having a problem with FCP and my files...I have no problems transferring them to the computer but once I drag the files to the timeline it makes me render and when I go to render I get a message saying "codec not found. You may be using a compression type without the corresponding hardware care." Obviously I am not using the right codec but like I said this is my 1st time jumping into this tapeless format. Once again I am sorry if this has been posted here before I am just truly stuck thanks |

Hi Rick, what version of FCS are you using?
I have the latest one and, provided you set the cam up for 'mov' file type, it imported the files without hassle. I didn't even have to set it up first - FCP asked me if I wanted the timeline to match the file and that was it. It may be different on earlier versions of FCS/FCP. Mike |
