GY-HM100u audio tracks linked
Silly question I'm sure, but I'm new to the GY-HM100u and this is the only major issue I'm having. When I pull the files into Final Cut and load them into the viewer, the audio is linked. I cannot adjust the level of level one without affecting level two. I know these can be unlinked with the "stereo pair" button once you pull them down onto the timeline, but that's a meticulous process for every single clip and I know there must be some way to do it either in the viewer to affect the entire master clip, or better yet in the camera so it doesn't import the files that way in the first place. What am I missing here?

Brad - I think you can select all the clips in the bin and use OPTION L to unlink the stereo pairs? I'm not a Mac expert tho and it is one of my pet hates with FCP that it doesn't bring up every audio track as a separate mono track like Avid. SO Premiere...
I know when you dig you can choose to digitise as two mono tracks rather than a stereo pair so perhaps there is a similar command on import although I believe it currently reads the QT flag. |

Awesome guys... thanks so much. I used to be able to do this before the fact in "log and capture" of course with my old DVX100a, but I must say this direct file import with the JVC is fantastic.
Thanks Again! |
