HM100 focus while zooming
I am just editing some footage and I noticed when in auto-focus mode the camera doesn't keep the subject in focus while zooming out (or in as the matter of fact). There is a brief out of focus moment, while the subject was about 4-5 feet away from the camera. Does anyone else noticed this?

Turn off TELE MACRO in the CAMERA PROCESS menu.
This mode lets you do macro on the long end of the zoom as close as 80cm (2.6 feet) but the focus needs to change when the lens zooms back out of macro mode. The normal close focus is 100cm (3.3 feet) so you really only need this function on rare occasions (macro shots of flowers, bugs, etc.)

How do I do that?
Good tip Tim, but when I'm trying to turn off Tele Macro (by pressing the set button) I get the message: "Set to Manual Mode", so what am I doing wrong here?
Could you please help me out? Thanks in advance! FRank |

You have your camera in AUTOMODE (there are 2 buttons behind the focus barrel). Switch the camera to manual mode (the farther button) and then you'll be able to turn MACRO off.
