Urgent question from tricky location
I'm currently on location in Flores Indonesia and our first unit camera has gone down meaning I must rely in the JVC GD 101 with which I am unfamiliar. I can't seem to find the function that will allow me to review recorded material and then search to find the end of the recorded info on the tape. Obvioulsy it's not the RET button. Can anyone on the forum help?
thanks, Simon Nasht (email: simon@nasht.com) |

You need to switch the camera to VTR mode. The switch is under the LCD panel. Use the buttons on the top of the camera to view footage in the LCD. Switch back to camera mode when finished.

End search
Thanks Phil, but is there an end search function, as in say, a Sony PD 150?

Re-End search button
Is the RET button. You have to be in camera mode. Press it and it will take you to the end of the recorded material. You have to set it though from the menu. Maybe its function has been changed...

you can change the setting of the ret button in the camera menu either to ret or to focus assist, should be under "switch menu".
if you do review material be sure to leave adequate padding (5 seconds or so) at the end of each take - i once lost a few seconds of material.. |
