GY-HD100 and DR-HD100 HDV Sync

Hi guys wondering if you can help with some basic setting.
We have just moved from SD to HDV and are shooting in HDV 25P, but now it seems the timecode on the DR-HD100 doesnt sync with the GY-hd100s tape.
Everytime we pause the camera and then restart record the timecode on the DR-HD100 returns to zero.
Is this the case with HDV or have we got to reset control and fuction settings? (we have set camera to Syncro mode in 1394 Rec Trigger menu)

If we cant sync the timecode is there anyway we can make it so the timecode doesn't go back to zero each time the camera pauses and continues from where the TC stopped?

thanks in advance
Nick

Hi Nick,
I don't (yet!) have a DR-HD100, but it is designed to sync with time-code through the FW. What is your time-code generation setting? I would assume regen is appropriate. There are several menu settings that have to be set correctly on the unit as well.

A tutorial by the ever helpful Tim Dashwood - you must have timecode on the DR-HD100 set to external but follow all the settings for best results. Oh you may want use.m2t instead of Quicktime depending on your NLE (use QT if yoou are using FCP only I think)
