One year and my 1st problem

I was trying to capture video and it won't capture. The first 17 min were fine but the next shots which I had taken months later won't capture.
Video shows up on screen but audio skips. Put a new tape in and shot 2 min and same thing.
Can this be a timecode thing?

We'll I am getting a lot of dropped frames. Playback in camera seems fine but when I hook it up to my cannon for capture I get a lot of popping sounds and no capture.
I have tried 2 tapes with same result but when I capture old video shot on it it works fine.
So my cannon I use to capture works fine.
Old jvc tapes I have shot on camera work fine.
So could I have a head out of alignment ?
