DVHSCap Capture Question
Hi Everyone,
I am trying to figure out this work flow that Tim has suggested to capture as clean a product from tapes as possible. I am referring to the instructions at: http://www.dvinfo.net/conf/showthread.php?t=83228 My question (and this might seem basic and silly to y'all, but what the heck) is that when I downloaded the software referring to DVHSCap - it was actually called FireWireSDK22.dmg. I installed this FireWireSDK22.dmg, but I didn't see a little software icon pop up. So does FireWireSDK22.dmg connect to other software? What is that software? What is the software that I then use to capture the .m2t files? Thanks! Sharon |

Hi Sharon,
Check your root folder (Macintosh HD) for a "Developer" folder. Inside there may be a folder for Quicktime and you should be able to find DVHSCap. When you find it, just move it into your Applications folder. You can then trash the other developer tools that were installed with the Firewire SDK.

Tim,
I do not know who you are, but I love you! Thanks. I found it. I will report back to you if I have successfully gotten through your whole work flow capture process. Obviously, I am the queen of having issues with work flow all along the way. Yikes. Cheers, Sharon |
