Still Having Capturing Issues - HELP
Hi All,
Once again, I am back on this forum trying to figure out my capturing issues. I recorded on JVC tape (good tape) at 24p and had lots of break-ups when capturing from deck and camera. Now, my friend shot in 30p with my camera and he is having subclip problems as well. We are both using final cut 5.1.2. He is using a G5. I use a PowerBook G4. Is this just a problem everyone is living with? Should I be harrassing JVC about this or Final Cut with questions? Thanks Again Everyone. Sharon |

I've had similar problems when capturing, seems in my case the data breaks (had 218 in 50min) occure mostly around when i press the rec button...
which tape are u using? u can give mpeg streamclip a shot, i was able to salvage the footage with it using the "fix timecode breaks" function, although audio is totally out of sync. http://www.dvinfo.net/conf/showthread.php?t=87780 there's some good info about the issue. |
