Mix and Match

I would appreciate very much hearing from anyone who has used a Zacuto baseplate and rod system with any Cavision mattebox. Is this combo possible?
Used on JVC GY-HD200U.

Thanks much in advance of any info.

both are 15mm and that zacuto looks very versatile. I hope someone with more direct information can help you.
I'll chime in with my related need. I want to find a baseplate system with 12mm rods that will work with my vintage Petroff mattebox.
Thanks!

Sean,

Thanks for your reply. After looking at the Cavision mattebox again I notice that the mattebox front mount support comes with their baseplate/rods system and NOT with the mattebox itself. There doesn't seem to be an option to purchase just the front support alone and I hate to have to buy their baseplate/rods system just to get the mattebox support. I guess I'll email Cavision and see if just the front support is available as I do want to use their mattebox, shades, follow-focus unit, etc. on the Zacuto rods.

Good luck with your search for the 12mm rods and thanks again for your reply.
