Can 110U video tapes be played in Sony Z1U?
Is it possible for a Sony Z1U camera to "read" my 110U tapes? Prior to mailing my tape to my friend so he can incorporate my video into one of his projects, I thought I would do this post.
Something tells me I can't. If I am correct, how best can we accomplish this? thanks, Jon Rivers of the World |

No, you can't!
My advise is: capturing the tape as .m2t file to a hard drive and mail that hard drive (very well packed) to him. Unless you can take your camera and use it to capture the tape on his computer. |

There are two flavors of HDV: HDV1 - 1280 x 720 Progressive Scan. HDV2 - 1440 x 1080 Interlaced Scan At the tape level, they are not interchangeable. Once captured, some NLE's can intermix them. Regards,
