Info wanted! HD100 commercial quality?
I have been asked to shoot a commercial for a wine business. He has a place to shoot, but has asked me to supply equipment, lighting, etc. I am in college and our video club has a prohd jvc. Is this broadcast quality? i know the canon xl 1 commercial was shot with the xl 1 and isnt the jvc a nicer camera? Any info would be appreciated. he is interested in airing it on the food network or A&E (those types of stations) Also, all i have for audio would be a shotgun mic on a boom connected to the xlr ports on the cam.

Many broadcasters are using JVC ProHD cameras everyday for their ENG / EFP work. And, several commercial and feature film projects have been shot with the ProHD cameras. So yes, in the hands of someone who understands how to use a broadcast level camera, these cameras will produce broadcast-quality results. See these web links for info on many projects that our cameras have been used for: http://pro.jvc.com/prof/attributes/c...&feature_id=10 http://pro.jvc.com/prof/attributes/c...&feature_id=10 http://pro.jvc.com/prof/attributes/c...&feature_id=10
