any good reviews of hd200/250?
can't seem to find any...
any other reasons to get the 250 than the 200 other than sdi/ genlock/ timecode or is money better spent on wine and women? |

HI Phil,
Haven't seen any reviews on them yet-but I say 'GO FOR THE WINE AND WOMEN' :-) unless of course you need the features of the 250 then it might be a toss up;-O Don B. |

Don...of course he is the head of the Bloom family...don't mess with "The Don". You must pay your respects before leaving the forum or he will send Luca Brazzi after you!

Actually Phil is my MUCH OLDER brother and we had to send him away as he came to us one day and said he wanrted to go into the video business-right then we knew he needed help and the best place for that type of help was in the UK so we packed him a small sack lunch and put him on the boat (a slow boat of course). I'm guessing the therapy didn't take ;-(
Oh well doesn't every family have a black sheep ;-O BTW on a serious note, Phil thanks for taking the time and effort to post all the good stuff about the 200 and the various accessories you've been buyin and tryin! Your younger brother Don o|o \_/ |

I hear the codec and cinegamma are enhanced over the hd100. Anybody know the details of this?

My review is that there are noise issues which need to be resolved - although this may be unique to my camera

I sent two cameras (HD200) back to JVC because of the fan noise issue. I am told that the 250 is constructed somewhat differently and should be quieter than the 200 but who knows. I am waiting for my dealer to get back to me with the verdict.

Well, anyway, I sent the cameras back because of the excessive audible fan noise comeing from the back. Have you experienced that as well or the 250 is indeed quieter?

Hmm,
Been shooting with the HD200's for about a month now. Never noticed excessive noise. FWIW been using AB system. However, we've been shooting run and gun and not anything narrative. |
