Hdv Recorder Player Cu-vh1us-p
Very interested on an HDV deck for capturing tapes..
Any references on the small one by JVC ? seems to be a fine deal.... Regards |

I don't know of anyone personally that uses it. As I understand it has some minor limitations. While it can handle 24p and 30p HDV1, 24p HDV1 can only be sent through the firewire and you cannot monitor it at all on the built in LCD screen. You can only see it in the NLE capture window.I also don't think it has the anti drop-out circuitry that the BR-HD 50 uses. And I don,t think it downconverts with a side/center cut, only letter box and squeeze. Of course, it has advantages, it's portable, lightweight, etc.
This may really work for your needs and a JVC rep can give you a much more accurate explanation of the features/benefits.
