HD110 Viewfinder Flip?

Has anyone come up with any ingenious way to achieve a 180 degree rotate with the viewfinder...aside from turning it upsidedown and gaff taping it? I want to be able to use the viewfinder (not an LCD) roughly from the position where it sits to shoot with the Red Rock adaptor. Being able to use a real viewfinder was one of the advantages to buying the JVC.

I considered using a bigger JVC viewfinder and fabricating a special mount to achieve the flip, but I'm not sure if the existing cable connectors are compatible with the 2/3 inch. cameras. Ideally one could simply attach a diopter that inverted the image optically right to the top of the existing viefinder.

If anyone has any insight or experience with this please post. Thanks.
