24P - SD on the JVC110 looks wierd
Can anyone tell me what my shutter speed should be to get a normal, non-smearing look to my standard def 24P mini DV recording?
In HDV, the 24P looks great, but in standard def, it looks terrible and the image smears a lot. I was using 1/48th shutter speed, but it still looks off. - PJR |

HDV 24p mode has a default shutter of 1/48th
Are you sure that your shutter was still at 1/48th when you switched to SD? On my camera, the default shutter is 1/24th in SD mode. |

Yes, double check the shutter in SD. I have never had a problem with 24P SD so is there any more info you can provide us with?

The HD100 defaults to 1/24 in SD for 24fps, which is the wrong setting, it should be 1/48. I wonder if they fixed (changed) this SD default for the 110/200/250.
