BR-HD50U not 720p60? at DVinfo.net

In doing my research I've noticed that the BR-HD50U will not record 720p60. Not acceptable for mastering back to the deck.

Will it even play it back correctly?

We plan to shoot 720p60 with the HD200. I hate to use the cams as decks but this appears to be the only choice.

I was planning on feeding the Kona LH with the deck via component out.

Actually... it does.

You need to update to the recently released firmware version 1.06.

Haven't actually purchased it yet- just needed to confirm.

I don't know why they (JVC) don't update their literature!
