how to deliver 720p24 to an editor using FCP 5.0?

Hey folks,

I just shot a short on my hd100 (and dr-hd100) at 720p24 and am now trying to figure out what format to use in delivering the footage to the director/editor - who runs only FCP 5.0.2 ... should I use the AIC... anyone else run into this dilemma?..

Peace.
Ben

Hi Ben.
AIC is fine, Uncompressed 4:2:2 10 bit is good too. How do you acquire the footage? Also, the editor should defintely upgrade to 5.1, there is really no reason to stay on 5.0, the crossgrade is only $49.00.

I agree with Paolo. Aside from the fact there is no reason not to upgrade to 5.1 now, but Uncompressed HD takes up a lot of space and power to edit. If either is an issue, go with AIC.
