Brian with all due respect I don't agree with you.
This board is wide open to ask your questions in the language of your choice and is up to the users to follow or respond. I personally speak both ENGLISH AND SPANISH and if if any board user that need help in Spanish I 've glad to help. Regards, William Osorio

We're all here to learn and share, that can't happen with threads like this and as such it weakens the community. This thread is a private, and exclusive club for those who choose to speak Spanish. I also speak Spanish, but I don't choose to indulge here for the same reason I don't speak it at a party to a bilingual friend: it's rude to speak a foreign language in front of nonspeakers when all parties are capable of English--I suspect that's what's happening here. |

DV Info Net is an English speaking forum and it is doubtful that will ever change. English is the 2nd most spoken language in the world (after Mandarin) and menu systems of the technology we discuss here are almost always displayed in English.
However, I personally do not have a problem with our bi-lingual members assisting those who have difficulty comprehending the concepts already discussed ad nauseam in the English threads, but I would expect any 'new' information to always be presented in English for the sake of the vast majority of our members. We are known as a welcoming and inclusive community consisting of global members who speak many different languages. I'm sure there are many members who can neither learn nor share because of an inability to understand English and our bi-lingual members have been filling in where the automatic translators fall short. I thank them for that. I have read this thread and I consider it nothing more than a Spanish FAQ. I don't have a problem with it staying as long as it remains within the realm of clarifying or translating what has already been discussed in English threads. Let's just keep it to this one thread though. Keep in mind that this is my personal opinion and does not necessarily reflect the present or future forum policy, but I will bring this matter to Chris' attention.
