Possible bug in HD110 display menu?

We just got two HD110 cameras with standard JVC batteries. We would have loved to go IDX or AB but couldn't come up with the cash.

Since the batteries are limited capacity - we wanted to see if we could display percentage of battery life. So we went into the menus and on the LCD/VF display menu there is a battery voltage/time/percentage option. Whatever setting we use it always displays voltage - 7.5v. We can't seem to make the cameras display time or percent of battery life.

Has anyone else with an HD110 experienced this issue?
Is this function only available with IDX or AB attached batteries?

Just curious - if there is a firmware fix available we'd like to have it, but I'd hate to have to ship the cameras off for repair...

I believe this is part ofthe "A" update and it may only work with the IDX or AB Batteries

I was under the impression it would work with the A upgrade on IDX batteries but no.

It only works on the AB batteries.

Thanks all for the great info. Looks like I'll try and budget in some AB batteries next fiscal.

Just checked, and they're right, having the AB batteries now allow me to change it.
