Vegas7 - native HDV editing for HD100?
The brochure says "Improved HDV editing" - does it mean we dont need to use Cineform Connect HD anymore?

Good question.
Has anyone heard what this might mean? |

I've been able to try Vegas 7 trial version for a couple of days now. I feel that the quality is better (in my eyes) about rendering to Mpeg2 or wmvHD from straight m2t files instead of using an intermediate. As much as I've been very happy using connectHD, I've always felt/seen that the end result loses a little quality compared to native HDV editing which was so painful before but not anymore.
So to answer your question, editing HDV files feel like editing DV. I'm a happy man - I know lots of us HD100 users will be!!! Another thing that I'm extremely happy about is the double window preview (timeline and external). That was a big deal for me before. |
