Problem with Neutral Density switch?
Hello all,
I just received my camera back from the "A" version upgrade, and wouldn't you know it, it came back with something wrong with it. It came back with the ND filter stuck in the 2nd position yet the the filter is not darkening the image at all. I can move the switch slightly almost halfway between the first and second position but again no change in exposure. If I press it any harder it feels like it's going to break. I haven't called any JVC service numbers yet I wanted to see if anyone had such a problem with this filter switch and if they fixed it on their own? Thanks, Chris |

You should send it back. It sounds like the body/switch were not reassembled properly after the upgrade.

Sorry for the difficulty.
Yes, it is the "mating" of the camera body cover and the ND lever. There is a small "U" shape to the switch inside of the body which fits over the tab of the filter wheel. They must have missed this during assembly. Email me where you are. kfreed@jvc.com |

Let me get this straight, they take the cover off your camera just to do the "A" upgrade?
