Can Studio 10 do this? Might be the cheapest option.

I have no idea, but have you tried the freeware HDVSplit. I have test captured Sony FX1's HDV to a Laptop/USB2.0 Harddrive, and it worked great.

Without wanting to hijack the thread, I have been thinking of asking a similar question for a while, so I will go ahead and ask here instead of making a new thread. If the moderators feel it warrantees a new thread, please feel free to separate it.
I'm just wondering what's the cheapest way to capture uncompressed HD (via component out) from the HD100? |

Uncompressed capture can get real expensive. If you use FCP you could capture uncompressed and then have the card convert the footage to DVCPro HD format which wouldn't require as fast a RAID setup. A lot of people are posting HDV footage this way. Dan Weber |
