Clamp filter on Firewire Cable? Xtra Core Filter?
A few quickies:
Does anyone actually use the provided clamp filter on their firewire cables? All mine seem too thick. The camera came with two grey core filters but only one appears to be needed for the DC cable. There's a large black filter built into the cable at the other end. Is the second grey core filter a spare? Note: I'm talking about the smaller grey core filters not the larger clamp filters. There are two of those, one for the audio output mini to RCAs and another for the firewire cable. This site is an excellent source of information. Thanks to all the contributors. |

I use mine - I accidentally put it on an XLR cable and now I can't get it off...

I would... but not only do they not include a 1394 wire, but my firewire port up and died on me. Again.
But I did use the other filters, for the power cord and vf cable.
