I have a G4 1.67 Powerbook with 2 gigs of RAM, and am about to buy a DVX. That is comforting to know.

PB G4 1.25Ghz + 2GB RAM. Runs very smooth.

Render times not superb and of course once you want to transcode to other formats or encode for DVD you'll be waiting a while (true of SD as well), but as far as typical editing, you should be in the clear.
