No "A" upgrade for european users?
Hello everyone!
Does anyone know if there's an upcoming A upgrade for people in Europe? I'm asking because, as I have read, it would solve some issues like the 'split screen effect'...which I can notice when shooting in darker places with the gain a little bit up. Thanks! SergioBarbosa |

Split Screen calibration and "A" upgrade are separate proceedures. If you feel that your camera needs calibration, simply send it in to your regional service center.

Hi Carl. Regarding the A upgrade, do you know what the situation is in other countries outside USA?

I had the same revision here in Belgium. They just don't call it the 'A'-upgrade. But they assured me it are the same adjustments they did.
Here in Europe if you have no problems they don't upgrade your camera. If you take contact with your JVC dealer they must be able to tell you if you need the upgrade or not. I my case I had problems with the 'mode changing', it's 100% fixed now. The camera is working flawlessy now. |

Here in the Netherlands: my camera had problems, I got a new unit and that is an 'A' model (a small sticker on it).
Kind regards |

I shot some tests on a camera provided by the local JVC dealer. It had the A sticker on the camera and the dealer confirmed that it was an "A" upgraded camera.

Just got my A upgrade today from JVC Brussels. They told me it did not apply for Europe but since I'm shooting in 30p they did it. Took 2 days.

No, I don't know the particulars for other countries. Simply contact the JVC regional office that covers your country to find out. Regards, Carl
