JVC upgrade update:

Here is what ken has wriiten to me as far as the update is concerned.

"I do wish there was an easier way but there just isn't on the first run of the original brackets. I do know however that of the estimated brackets out there that need the mod we have already updated 80% of them so there are not many left...

Let me know if there is anything else you need and you can just keep the serial # blank on the form".

Well, I just got off the phone with Ken over at AB, and he says that my old non serial numbered bracket does in-fact show time and capacity on their HD100. I told him that I don't understand, you were the one that told me it needed to be updated. He then said that he is sending me a brand new bracket and that I should try that one. He also suggested that the (A) update to my camera may have failed, I then said that everything else seems to be working fine.

My question is. Is it possible for everything to be working fine, except for the time and capacity reading in the VF? I am able to see voltage. I also can see the other sellections under battery options. Is it also possible that my update was installed half-ass? I sure hope not. I cannot afford to send it to CA again.

I just got my bracket, and it works like a charm. The VF now reads voltage, time, and capacity. Thanks to Ken Cyr over at AB for a great job!
