HD100 frame rate question
It may sound weard but I am a little confused. If I record with HD100 at DV60i 30p what frame rate should I choose when capturing - 30p or 29.97?
I use FCP5. Aplies it to the HDV formats also or not? (does it change if I record on tape or firestore?). Please reply. |

Many people are confused by this, and software programmers do not help the matter much. You should always select 29.97 when given the option. From a technical standpoint for Colour NTSC there is no such thing as 30fps. It is just an easier way to say 29.97 fps.

Thank you Tim, that was fast reply! Thanks again! (I assume same thing is with 60fs as 59.94, right?)
