Which Panasonic Deck are you talking about?
Do they make a mini-dv compatible deck? I thought they only did DVCPRO-Pro/HD-D5 and now P2 for the rest. I wouldn't count on it though. HDV is supposed to be a standard. But the problem is everyone has their own idea what it should be. |

Any of the DVCPRO HD decks that play dv, dvcpro, dvpro50 and DVCPROHD.
I just wondering it can read the GOP on HDV. |

I don't think the HDV consortium will share their patents to other companys although JVC (victor) and Panasonic both have the same parent company (matsushita).

The answer is "h3ll no".
None of the DVCPRO HD decks have anything to do with HDV.
