Any chance of a new little brother or sister at NAB?
Anyone heard of any news of JVC releasing a new little sibling for the HD100 at NAB?
I am thinking of a range of JVCs to compare to the HC1 in price and performance, like a HD20U or the like. The 10U doesn't do 720/25p and I'll bet they could put a better sensor in it now as well (single CMOS anyone?). I guess I am looking for something to match to a future higher end purchase like the replacement to the HD100 whenever that comes out (by the time I can afford it...). Something that can be a nice cheap little B-roll, backup, playback deck etc yet get me into HDV sooner rather than later due to cost. Sony have the HC3, HC1, A1U/P, FX1, Z1 etc It is frustrating when you want 720p but the actual products on the market that suit you are 1080i Anyone else notice the new Sony Decks support playing back 720p HDV tapes, but only via analogue out! How stupid why no 1394? I suppose the only good to come of it all is while there are no products that have exactly what I want at the price I need I don't go any further into debt ;-) |
